Hebrew Greek and English Bible
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Hebrew Greek and English Bible application ("the app" or "the service"), published by Ferreira e Zavarise LTDA ("the company", "we"), established in Itamaraju, Bahia, Brazil.
By accessing or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
Hebrew Greek and English Bible offers:
Features that need the internet: online audio playback, the background image gallery, cloud sync and advertising. Reading, the interlinear, the lexicon and the Parallel Bible work with no connection at all.
The basic use of the app requires no registration. Signing in with Google is optional and serves one purpose: backing up your notes, highlights and reading progress to the cloud so you do not lose them when you change device.
By signing in you allow access to your name, email address and Google profile picture. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
The app is free and every feature is available at no cost. The free plan includes the display of advertising.
Premium takes every advertisement out of the app. It comes in two forms, and both are handled entirely by Google Play — we never receive or store your payment details:
Automatic renewal: a subscription renews on its own at the end of each period, charged to your Google account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You cancel in the Google Play app, under Payments and subscriptions — cancelling from within our app is not possible, and uninstalling the app does not cancel anything. After cancelling you keep Premium until the end of the period already paid for.
Restoring the purchase: if you change devices, the purchase can be restored through the same Google account used to buy it, with the "Restore Purchases" option available in the app settings.
Right of withdrawal (EU/UK): consumer law gives you a right of withdrawal, which does not apply to digital content supplied immediately once you have agreed to that immediate supply. Refunds follow Google Play's policy.
By using the app, you agree to:
Accounts that break these rules may be suspended.
The interlinear tagging, the grammatical parsing, the transliterations and the lexicon entries are scholarly data produced by third parties and are provided as they are. Scholars disagree on points of grammar and meaning, and any corpus of this size contains errors.
Use the app to study, to compare and to learn. For a decision that carries weight — a sermon, a translation, an academic paper — check a critical edition and a specialist lexicon as well. We give no warranty that any particular parsing or lexical gloss is correct, and we are not liable for conclusions drawn from it.
The biblical texts used are in the public domain: the Hebrew Old Testament (Westminster Leningrad Codex), the Greek New Testament (Textus Receptus) and the English translations (King James, American Standard, Geneva, World English Bible, Young's Literal).
The word-by-word study data — tagging, grammatical parsing, lexicon entries and proper names — comes from STEPBible Data, created by Tyndale House, Cambridge (www.STEPBible.org) and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. We use it in modified form. That licence lets you reuse the underlying data yourself, provided you credit Tyndale House in the same way — it is their work, not ours, and our terms do not restrict it. The full credit is under Third-Party Licenses in the app menu.
The layout, design, icons, visual elements and source code of the app are the property of Ferreira e Zavarise LTDA and are protected by copyright law. The devotional content, studies and summaries are our own work and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.
Local data: your progress, notes and highlighted verses are stored on your device. The company accepts no responsibility for the loss of local data caused by a device fault, by uninstalling the app or by clearing its cache.
Cloud data: if you sign in, your progress is backed up to Firebase. We work to keep the service available, but we cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted.
We recommend signing in so your data is kept safe.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law.
The devotional content is spiritual in nature and does not replace professional pastoral or theological guidance.
The company's total liability, in any event, is limited to the amount paid by the user over the previous 12 months.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by the law of your country, including consumer rights that apply to you.
We work to keep the app available and working, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates or faults in third-party services may cause temporary interruptions.
The main features work offline, so a lack of connection does not stop you reading the Bible.
The free plan includes advertising shown through Google AdMob and its mediation partners.
The advertising shown follows the guidelines for content suitable for all ages. If you see an advertisement you consider inappropriate, please tell us at zavariseapps@gmail.com.
You can remove every advertisement through the in-app purchase described in section 4.2.
The app is rated as suitable for all ages and carries only biblical and devotional content.
Digital age of consent: under the GDPR the age at which a person can consent on their own is 16, or lower where a member state has set it so; in the United Kingdom it is 13; in the United States, COPPA requires verifiable parental consent below the age of 13. Below the applicable age, the app must be used with the supervision and the consent of a parent or guardian.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, and you may delete your account and all its data from within the app.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
Termination does not affect the rights and obligations that arose before the date it took effect.
We may update these Terms. Continuing to use the app after a change has been published means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
These Terms are governed by the law of Brazil, where the company is established.
Consumers keep the protection of their own country's law. Users in the European Union may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence, under Articles 17 to 19 of the Brussels I bis Regulation (EU 1215/2012). Users elsewhere — including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, India, the Philippines and Australia — may bring proceedings before the competent courts of their country of residence under the consumer rules that apply there.
Online dispute resolution (EU): under Regulation (EU) 524/2013, the European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform.
We do ask you to contact us first, so we can try to settle any dispute amicably.
